Purpose of the position:
The instrument / metering engineer will follow the engineering, procurement, fabrication, testing and installation of all elements associated with fiscal oil and gas metering packages and general field instruments. Also assist the control system engineer. The scope shall also include review and comment of documents issued by the engineering contractor and by the suppliers. Later the focus will be on follow up of fabrication, testing at main supplier as well as sub-suppliers, installation in module onshore and commissioning assistance on and offshore.
Assignment starts: 15.02.2009
Assignment ends: 31.12.2011
Place of work:Stavanger. Some travelling on and offshore and will be required.
Formal skills requirements:
A minimum of 10 years experience comprising engineering, fabrication, testing of metering systems and field instrumentation.Proven field - experience with fiscal metering systems including sampling. Experienced with development of specifications & procedures to support manufacture, commissioning and operational phases of the metering scope. Fully conversant and comfortable with high HSE project. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a multinational project team and ability to develop strong working relationships with contractor personnel.
