Commissioning Engineer

One of our client FLSmidth in Denmark seeking one (1) Commissioning Engineer to a site in Libya (which is approximately 170 km east of Tripoli, near a town called Zliten), to assist with the commissioning of equipment for a Cement Plant (with a lot of the commissioning relating to the electrical equipment to be installed). The enduser is the Arab Union Cement Company (AUCC) in Tripoli Libya.They need the Engineer on site immediately for about two (2) weeks only and then again for about two (2) weeks in March 2009.

The Commissioning Engineer will work with the following sequence of events on site:
t Dry run performance tests on motors, pumps etc. (basically all the mechanical equipment) where no power will to be put through but everything tested by multimeter to make sure its wired correctly before they switch it on, There are over 3,000 tests to be conducted.t Sequence tests where equipment will actually be run with no product but with power.t Single machine running tests (where machines are left running for 24 hours).t Commissioning (loading clinker product) then "downstream" for packing of product.

During the 24 hour run tests there are three (3) shift monitoring. The work week on site is six (6) days, with 8 to 10 hours commissioning work every day.The Engineer would be able to stay on site in our client's accommodation (Note: It is for Danish personnel, so it will be to western standards).The Engineer could be mobilized to site within the next couple of days after getting approval from our client
